A Little Inspiration From the Crows: ek kawwa pyasa thah

A lot of us from the subcontinent, including the new Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, I am sure, grew up hearing moral stories that have inspired us to be resourceful with our lives. There was a very popular folk-tale about a crow and a pitcher of water that almost all of the kids knew by heart. A few popular sayings at playgrounds in south India at that time were: “Where there’s a will, there’s a way”, “Never give up”, “Try and try until you die”. Although they were said more in jest than be used as a morale booster (with a mix of local sarcasm of course), it always lingered-on at the back of your mind. Sometimes serving its real purpose.

As I was searching for ways to impart those little tid-bits to my kids, I ran into these inspirational videos. Hope you enjoy them just as my little one did.
